Liver is a very rich source of retinol, the active form of vitamin A, making it an important component in both raw and cooked diy diets!

There are differences between the different livers too! Livers from ruminant animals (cow, goat, sheep) are high in copper. Livers from birds (chicken, duck, turkey) and rabbit are low in copper. Liver from pork has copper that is NOT bioavailable to dogs and cats.

Freeze dried liver can substitute raw and cooked liver in such diets. Do feed sparingly if your dogs/cats are already on a complete and balanced diet.
